Phoenix Games is battling the Pandemic by opening the store so you can restock your hobby supplies, allow you to crack a pack of MTG or fill your need for plastic miniatures. Once we are able by the government, we will be opening the store to events and tournaments. Keep checking back.

Chaos Draft is just like any other Magic Draft format: get together at Phoenix and buy three packs of cards for each drafter. The twist is that instead of drafting a normal format—two packs of Hour of Devastation and a pack of Amonkhet, or three packs of Ixalan, or any of those other carefully crafted formats—you purchase as many different packs and sets from what is behind the counter at Phoenix Games & Hobbies and get drafting.
Tournament using the welcome decks at 11:00am.
Set to occur the Saturday before Amonkhet Prerelease, this new event encourages casual fun for new players and easy, league-style Standard play with a participation promo reward.
Starting on Saturday, April 15, players of all levels will come together to learn and play Magic, say farewell to Aether Revolt, and look ahead to the next exciting release—Amonkhet.
We will be introducing new players to the game and welcoming them into the Phoenix Magic community with learn-to-play sessions, using the Welcome Decks that will be provided. Come as a veteran player to join the fun by bringing a friend or helping to teach new players.
We will be rewarding players who participate in any aspect of our event with one of the premium full-art basic lands (max of 25 to be giving out).
The Bizarre Bazaar
Phoenix Games & Hobbies will be hosting the 9th Annual Bizarre Bazaar Saturday April 8th…it’s a Gamer Yard Sale.
The store regulars (or anyone who wants a spot) will be digging deep in their closets, under their beds, in lockers, bank vaults, etc. and bringing all sorts of items out for sale to the public.
Who knows what rare models, old board games, or missing cards to complete a set will be available.
Just come down Saturday from 10:00am till 5:00pm and find out what deals you can walk away with.

A: Once people are interested in your product(s), they will buy you store credit for the offered price. If you are selling item 1 for $10, the buyer will go to the Phoenix till and buy you $10 in store credit.
Q: Can I use my store credit to buy other items at the GYS?
A: Credit is only used to buy products from Phoenix Games & Hobbies.
Q: Do I have to use my store credit that day?
A: You do not need to use your store credit and can wait to use it on a later date.
Q: Can I use my credit to order in products that are not at Phoenix?
A: If the store can get it in, you can use your credit to order in products.
Q: How long does my store credit last?
A: If you don’t use it, your store credit is technically on our books forever, but we would hope you would use it in a reasonable amount of time.

The tournament is a charity event in support of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Warspite. The Cadet organization is a youth program for kids aged 12 – 18 that teaches kids about the Canadian military and its history, while also teaching discipline, citizenship, and leadership skills. With the program receiving funding from the Department of National Defence, it is free for kids to join. However, DND only covers the cost of the training, uniforms, and instructors. The other side of the funding comes from the Navy League of Canada. It is a group of civilian volunteers that are dedicated to supporting the cadet corps, covering things that DND does not such as rent and utilities for their training facility, food for weekends, transportation, etc. The proceeds from this tournament will be donated to the Kitchener – Waterloo branch of the Navy League.
